The Judet approach is an extensile approach used for open reduction and internal fixation of scapular fractures. Although the skin incision is reversed in this video, with the incision made along the scapular spine and the lateral border of the scapula, deep dissection reverts to the traditionally described approach, including elevation of the infraspinatus muscle belly from its origin. In our experience, this incision and approach has not led to infection or wound healing complications.
