Posterior Ankle Approach Strategies (For Fracture Fixation)
The posterior approach to the ankle is a valuable approach for the successful management of high-energy pilon fractures and rotation-induced fractures of the ankle requiring posterior malleolus fixation. The posterior approach can be used alone or in combination with other surgical approaches. This video describes the indications for the posterior approach for surgical fixation of the ankle. Reduction methods and implant insertion are shown.
