Welcome to the Orthopaedic Video Theater!  The Orthopaedic Video Theater is an educational platform where users share educational videos and contribute to and engage with other users in discussion forums.

 

Community Etiquette

The Orthopaedic Video Theater is an educational platform for users to connect with each other and share videos. Community members should treat each other with respect. By joining the Orthopaedic Video Theater, you agree to the following rules:

  • Offensive language, including but not limited to unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, or rude remarks; hate speech; and harassment of other users are prohibited. A user must not incite others to harass another user. A user deemed to be offensive by AAOS, at its sole discretion, will be removed from the Orthopaedic Video Theater community.
  • Selling, solicitation, advertisement, and promotion of products or services by users is prohibited. Posting a link to a business or adding a link as a signature at the end of your comments may be flagged as spam. Profile display name, biography, location, and link may not promote or sell a product/service. Businesses that are listed in the industry section of the Orthopaedic Video Theater may post promotional content on their respective channels.
  • Do not upload material that infringes on the copyright, trademark, or other legal rights of another individual or entity.
  • You may not impersonate individuals in a manner that does or is intended to mislead, confuse, or deceive others or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with an individual or entity.
  • Do not post explicit, sexual, violent, or weapon-related content.
  • If concern exists regarding any content posted on the Orthopaedic Video Theater, please flag the content or action. The AAOS is not obligated to delete content that a user finds personally offensive or objectionable but will attempt to address problems that may arise.
  • If these guidelines are violated, AAOS reserves the right to:
    • Provide a warning to the offending user
    • Delete some or all of the content
    • Temporarily or permanently terminate the offending user’s account

Things to Remember

  • Community members are solely responsible for determining and complying with their obligations under applicable federal and state laws, including but not limited to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, as well as hospital, ambulatory surgical center, FDA, and/or practice rules and restrictions that may affect material posted on the Orthopaedic Video Theater.
  • Clinical matters discussed in the Orthopaedic Video Theater represent only those of the discussants. The material discussed in the Orthopaedic Video Theater is not intended to represent the only or necessarily best orthopaedic method or procedure but represents the approach or opinion of the discussant.
  • These guidelines will evolve, and AAOS reserves the right to alter these guidelines at any time.
