Contributors: Randipsingh R Bindra, FRACS, FRCS, MD; Giovanni Di Giacomo, MD

We present the operative technique of repair of rupture of distal biceps tendon insertion. The video discusses the patient demographics and risk factors for this condition. The preoperative examination findings are presented and indications for surgery reviewed. The relevant surgical anatomy is demonstrated. The surgical technique demonstrates the use of a single incision for retrieval, suture, and reinsertion of the tendon to the radial tuberosity with combined use of a looped suture, button, and interference screw. The postoperative rehabilitation is discussed along with complications, pearls, and pitfalls.
