The Resident Assembly has six subject committees: Career Development, DEI, Education, Health Policy, Innovation,and Research. Committee positions are open for application through the AAOS Committee Appointment Process each spring. 

Career Development Committee

Charges

Provide information on starting a career in orthopaedics, including:

  • Fellowship opportunities and
  • Employment
  • Develop, refine, and present practice management actions to the executive

Health Policy Committee

Charges

  • Address issues affecting the field of orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic residency

  • Collaborate with AAOS to promote resident engagement in political issues locally and
  • Educate residents on the Orthopaedic Political Action Committee (PAC) and current political issues impacting orthopaedics.
