AAOS gratefully acknowledges the participants, volunteers and supporters of the AAOS International Scholars Program. The Academy is proud to have awarded scholarships to more than 180 surgeons from 57 countries with limited resources since the program’s inception in 2002. Through this program, scholars gained crucial surgical skills training and learned best practices that helped them become leaders and teachers at home, where they empowered their colleagues to integrate new techniques into the care of their patients, improving patient outcomes worldwide.
