Enjoy Breakfast in the Posters tomorrow

Consider starting your day tomorrow by joining the 2008 Program Committee for Breakfast in the Posters. Enjoy a continental breakfast from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Level 1 of Moscone Center West while networking with colleagues and perusing more than 560 posters in 12 exhibit categories.

Have breakfast in the posters on Friday!

Members of the Program Committee and its subcommittees use a rigorous peer-review process to grade thousands of submissions. Selection criteria included topic, scientific merit, and validity of conclusions. The best posters in each category will be honored with a yellow ribbon; the best overall poster will receive a blue ribbon. Winners will be announced in Saturday’s AAOS Now Daily Edition.

Four posters are being presented by the Board of Orthopaedic Specialty Societies—including the Scoliosis Research Society, Pediatric Society of North America, J. Robert Gladden Society, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. In addition, the Orthopaedic Research Society has 17 posters in the exhibit. A new component of this year’s poster exhibits—eposters in the adult reconstruction knee classification—are featured in the traditional poster format as well as in one of the kiosks located in the poster exhibits.

Even if your schedule won’t allow you to attend the breakfast, be sure to take time to walk through the poster exhibits in Moscone Center West. Posters will be open for viewing today and Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
